Probably the first experience with reality is when you finally are told there is no Santa Claus. Your parents lied for how long before they told you that he doesn't exist. That was a shocker to me! My mom wrote me a nice long letter about the story of Santa and how we celebrate the Mass of Christ (Christmas).
Still very heartbreaking. I look forward to reading everyone else's answers.

that each and every person adults are effective and type, continuously packed with love in the direction of little infants, handing out goodies and doing unspeakable issues to them whilst on my own. The day i found out that each and every person which replaced into purely crap talking, I vowed to coach stressful to grow to be a ninja murderer of ALL adults who likes to crap communicate approximately how effective they'd be.

These days, they scream cry, call their therapist, blame the Republicans, go to Starbucks and order a double-soy-latte with three Sweet'n'Low's and a sugar, sit in the park and write bad depressing poetry on their laptops while listening to Daniel Powter whine on the ipod.

The same way we all did, heroes fall and new ones rise.
Or if you're through with heroe worship, start making a mental map of how this world really works, and revise it constantly.
