Sell it. You can do a lot of things. A fresh tune up for starters.
New plugs , wires, air intake, exhaust.
If you have the money you can just do an engine transplant.

I agree with most of what has been answered so far. These supposed trucks are underpowered to say the least. To help what you do is make sure the tune condition is up to snuff with fresh plugs, fuel filter, wires, cap, and rotor. You can give yourself another 2 degrees before TDC on the timing to also help. Then you will have to start spending some money on an intake filtration system and an aftermarket programmable software to load into the PCM. After this, the expense will rise very quickly without producing great results. Remember, these weren't designed to be road runners.

Change the fuel filter..Get a K&N airfilter, Put a cold air intake on it. Or get a better truck. Blazers aren't very good or reliable. They are abundunt in junk yards for a reason. It's a money pit! Just a warning. But those items will give a little more UMPH without draining your wallet too much. Also Get the O2sensor changed. If it's even slightly defective it will rob power and mileage.

If you want to feel a difference "in the seat of your pants", nothing short of dumping a ton of cash into the motor (new chip, new intake, heads, cam, etc.) will do. For the most bang for the buck: the Chevy deluxe H.O. 350 crate engine is a complete motor from carb to pan and works quite well in place of the V6. Of course the cooling system and exhaust will need modified, as well as other things depending on the options of the vehicle. Depending on the driving conditions, changing the gear(s) in the axle(s) would give you qucker acceleration - expect to spend a few hundred dollars on the gears, minus any labor.

i mechanic for a living,,and if its a 4 wheel drive ,they don't have a whole lot of power to start with,,i own a 95 s-10 truck with the 4.3 in it,and its not as good as i think it should be,,but i have checked everything on it,,and its all right,,they just don't have the power the 2 wheel drive ones have, you might try tuning it a little ,and adding a K&N air filter to it,,and a power chip to the computer ,,that will really pick it up a lot,,but its never going to be a fast one,,good luck hope this help,s.

Hello, You may want to have a tune-up done. Rotor,Cap,Plugs,Wires,Air filter. Your gas filter may be dirty and not allowing fuel to pass. Have your EGR valve checked, carbon build up maybe keeping the valve open. Have the spider checked which is your injector unit, they always go bad. If your blazer has high mileage your engine may need to be rebuilt.

Exhaust, and headers. Try fuel injectors. Or an intake. All of these will get you noticibly more power. Good Luck
