I came of age enjoying the music of the late '60's. I was 15 when I discovered Eric Clapton; 9 when I swooned with millions of others over the Beatles.
Since then I love a whole lot of music of many types, but a few of my favorites are:
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Pink Floyd
Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band
REM
Sheryl Crow
Bonnie Raitt
BB King
Melissa Etheridge
There's a lot of great music out there, and too much of it doesn't get much airplay. Kudos to radio jox like Jim Ladd with his "free form" rock and roll.
Rock on.

First and Formost - The Beatles
Rolling Stones
J.Giles Band
Elton John
Billy Joel
Journey
Bryan Adams
as a preteen - Backstreet Boys, NSync, boybands, Def Leppard
My parents brought me up on the music they loved growing up, and to this day, the first half of my list is still all my favorite groups and the ones I'll list when asked. I did go through a teenybopper phase though...lol
Hope this helps. :-)

Tubeway Army, Nina Hagen, Split Enz, Australian Crawl, AC DC, Human League, B52s, Led Zep, (and only because of this sites anonymity I will admit) ABBA and Bay City Rollers (I was VERY young).
Eclectic mix but I have settled down now - FZ and the Mothers for me.

Well I followed my older brother and liked what he liked during the 80's. I do remember Dokken was my fav.
But when making my own choices, it was bands like Bush, Collective Soul, and Garbage.

The first concert I ever saw was in 7th grade. It was AC/DC touring for the Highway To Hell album. I was just completely blown away by what I saw and heard. They have been my favorite band ever since then.
Long live Bon Scott!!!!!
