If this is a science fair question, shouldn't you paint several blocks with different types of paints and then exposes them to weather?

Then, you could write your own conclusions to the effects of different paint types. That would be much more useful than anything someone will answer on here.

latex paints are water based , other types are oil based. weathering as far as rain the oil base would be better it is thicker (and oil and water dont mix) water would tend to run off oil based paint, and not soak through.
