I read MLB is trying to keep statistics secret in order to force the fantasy business to pay for this information. A district court in St. Louis ruled that the statistics are public domain and MLB is forbidden to do so. Is this true? Does anyone know any more about this?

This is a brain fart suffered by that jackass Selig who wants to scheme his way into ruining baseball for good. He wants sites like yahoo to pay roalties because they are using MLB players and is wimpering because he isn't getting his way.

Selig says he will leave in three years but should of been KICKED OUT in 2002 after that all star TIE game. Selig has ruined this game and turned me off of it completly especially with that wimpy steroid testing policy and that joke of a luxry tax which King George scoffs at each and EVERY year.

I don't know the answer to this, but it would be ridiculous to do--but then again,m the contracts being given out by MLB are ridiculous, too. Hopefully the "powers" realize that Fantasy only increases interest in the game.

Interest that, thank goodness Bud Selig was around t assume the reins of Commissioner and thus we had a man who saved MLB from those trying to destroy it the past 20 years! Wild Cards, Revenue Sharing, forcing the hand of the unionj for drug testing (and a real policy, to boot!) are just a few of the many number of great things Mr. Selig did to save baseball and bring fans back in ever increasing numbers!

Thank you Bud Selig for saving America's National Pasttime!!!

They tried but it was a lame greedy idea. Fantasy sports are good for baseball they should leave well enough alone.
