why doesn't everybody love star wars?

george lucas made star wars to enjoy not just laugh at romantic,action,adventure lego star wars is a joke i should know im a video game nerd. George lucas needs to tell about Han solo and leia sons and daughter adventures too.

Because it's off the hook! Star Wars was the first movie I saw in a drive in movie theater and it was great seeing the flight scenes against the star filled night sky. one of my best child hood memories.

I think it would be great to see what happened with Han Solo and Leia too.

I love Star Wars episodes 4-6 but I think the appeal wore off with eps 1-3. I think George Lucas put so much emphasis into making a believable sci-fi world that he forgot that a compelling movie is about the character and his emotions. The scripts were bad and so was the acting so the first 3 eps were terrible. It was also tough on the actors to have to live up to the legend that Eps 4-6 were.

Star Wars films were well put together and they're always liked by lots of people...but many people do like star wars but are afraid to admit it because they think its a movie that only nerds will watch because its turned into a thing were those kinds of people will dress up as their favorate character on a regular bases, and to EVERY costume party, holloween convention, meeting, interview, school, work, birthday party, riot, prison visitation, etc. In a weird way, the fans ruined it for everyone else that did like it because their friends will think that THEY dress up in weird costumes. sorry spatcave.

I think that a lot of us love Star Wars because we grew up with it and loved it when it first came out...now we are passing it on with our kids. When I actually *watch* the first three, I see that they are pretty cheesy, but they are still groundbreaking and awesome.

I think some people can't get past the bad dialogue and simplistic story lines.

I would love to see the Han Solo story with Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher playing some role in them.

Tolkien wrote an amazing tale, yet better than that, he created the full LOTR universe. Monsters, places, characters, weapons, he designed all of them via hand. Lucas did the comparable factor.
