george lucas made star wars to enjoy not just lagh at romantic,action,adventure lego star wars is a joke i should know im a video game nerd. George lucas needs to tell about Han solo and leia sons and daughter adventures too.

Because most people are unable to suspend reality & enjoy a superbly told fairy-tale with knights, princesses, internal conflict and chances for redemption. Star Wars is ALL this & more, but most see it as just another space movie.

I couldn't tell you..... some people have no imagination I guess.
The way I see it, Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy are very similar. Tolkien wrote an amazing story, but more than that, he created the entire LOTR universe. Monsters, places, characters, weapons, he designed them all by hand.
Lucas did the same thing. He came up with an idea inspired by other shows like Flash Gordon, and he created an entire universe, based around the Jedi, faraway planets, but he coupled it with real-life emotions and character interactions.
The reason Star Wars is so appealing is that it could realistically happen. Other than the Force, representing religion, it is all possible with the right technology. It could just be another galaxy. Star Wars manages to be adventurous and interesting, while still staying within certain boundaries of reality.
For those of you who don't like Star Wars, give it a chance, watch it. Once you get past the "this is dumb because I say it is" phase, you might actually like it.

because they suck...I really wish he would do the sequel trilogy he had planned on. I really want to see how he would portray the lives of the characters after RotJ. I love all of the books that came out in the 90's about their lives. They really fit the ideas I had of the characters and I would love to see some of them madi into movies someday.

...because not all of us are geeky star wars fanatics that revolve their lives around some fictional story that isnt even that interesting .

i use to ahte it but the more my kids made me watch it the better i liked it
