For a "creepy" scary, Sixth Sense.
Event Horizon was just messed up. I couldn't get to sleep the night I saw it.

I like the more science-fiction type horror: John Carpenter's "The Thing" with Kurt Russell. And "1984" which was Richard Burton's last movie before he died. Both really scary in an intellectual way.

The scariest movies to me (and I'm rarely ever scared) are still The Exorcist (original), Rosemary's Baby, and The Shining.

Exorcist was pretty scary.
I reccomend Carrie, the Ring, Poltergeist...
...and the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That's a definite must-see. Freaked me out.

I'm a wimp when it comes to scary movies, so I haven't watched that many, but I find the Saw movies to be quite terrifying.
