Fletcher will site many reasons that contributed to the terrible series. If your interested, they will include -
Trecothic did not play. Great partnership with Strauss broken.
He scores his runs quickly, which allows Strauss to build his own innings. How can you take a player to Australia, who, only 3 months earlier had a nervous breakdown?
Any team would miss their captain. England missed him on and off the field.
Flintoff was injured and could not bowl. He is not one to make excuses.
Jones, lost his form and place. Fletcher likes him because he lengthens the batting order.
Simon Jones was a huge loss to England. Unlike 2005, they could not apply constant pressure on the Aussies, using 4 class bowlers in tandem. He also lengthened the tail. he is also our best bowler using reverse swing.
Giles - Like him or loathe him, he could bat, hold up one end and he had alot of experience.
Lack of preparation.
Fletcher's team selections?
England's long tail
When it got tough, England ran away.
Did Flintoff's game suffer due to his captaincy?
Lack of passion and comitment.

Well done to Australia and despite the likes of Warne,Mc Grath and Langer retiring we have good depth in out team. Commisserations to the English, some serious soul searching for them is on the cards.

Unfortunately England had to face Australia at their best and could not cope up the pressure generated by Australian Team.
They should forget the past and try to rebuild their team to strength.

Cheers. Nice to hear from a sporting Aussie for once, who doesn't just want to rub our faces in it! But , lets be honest...England were unprepared and just not good enough. If that's "our best" then its pretty embarrasing. We dont mind losing, it happens sometimes...but losing in such a gutless manner really hurts.
