I am a big LSU fan and have watched everyone of his games for the past three years. His arm strength is probably stronger than anyones in the entire game of football, including qb's in the NFL. He can throw it through the uprights on one knee on the 50 yard line so he has a stronger arm than Culpepper. Jamarcus' accuracy has never been a problem, it has always been his decision making. He made a lot of stupid plays last year and a little at the beginning of this year. He was the #3 highest accurate qb this year in college football and that is amazing for a qb in the SEC where the defenses are a lot better. That guy from Hawaii was #1 and well they play nobody. Jamarcus as 6'6 260 is still pretty mobile and is a load to bring down. He has a stronger arm and a more precise arm than Culpepper but it will we just see what team he goes to. If Russell goes to a team that is a more loose air it out and an O that takes chances then he will more than likely be a good qb in the NFL and a lot more successful than Daunte. Notre Dame has a slow poor defense so dont expect him to play like that all the time but he certainly has all the skills for a NFL qb and is head and shoulders above Quinn because Jamarcus Russell is a winner.

Better probably. Culpepper appears to have his best years behind him. Russell has as good an arm as any QB I can remember. It really depends so much on what kind of coaching and supporting cast he gets in the NFL. Potentially, this young man could put up some huge numbers in the pros. For LSU fans I hope he comes back to play next year, but if he comes out he has to be one of the first QBs picked.

saying he'll be as good as culpepper is an insult. Culpepper is and was never that great. The only reason he put up #'s is cause of Randy Moss. And the reason Randy Moss isn't puttin up #'s is because he has had an even worse QB in Aaron Brooks and the worst coach signing of the year Art Shell as head coach.
But back to the point. Russell looks great i would compare him to more of a McNabb kinda guy, and Brady Quinn looked horrible by the way.

If you mean Culpepper 5 years ago then I agree with you. If your talking now, Culpeppers hurt. I agree either way. They are/were both mobile and have powerful arms.

All he would have to do would be play. But I think yes Culpepper excelled because of Moss. He did nothing in Miami. I think Jomarcus will be more of a byron leftwich but less accuaracy and more power. Dont be surprized if hes in the silver and black next yr throwin to moss

Quite possibly, it won't take much to be as good as Culpepper.

Yes indeed! This dude Russell is good. Remember was the number one rated passer in the country coming out of high school. We don't know what the future holds but he definitely has all the potential in the would.

Dude, I don't know. But what I do know is that LSU beat the breaks off Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, so that a start in the right direction.
