Do I still have to pay the 60 day notice fees??

Your best bet is to ask a licensed real estate agent as they need to know about lease law before becoming licensed in each state. It may also depend upon your location as each state has different laws. Call a well known agent in your area, most will be helpful because they are generally in the business of helping peole and they may want your business someday. also, ask their opinion on how to inform the leasor. Most likely, you will have to do it in writing with proof of delivery.
Hopefully someone here is a real estate agent and can give you the correct answers you need. But don't wait as time may be of the essence.

Yes, there is no right of rescission on leases in most states. That means, the moment you sign, you are obligated to abide by the agreement and if it calls for 60 days notice, that is what you owe. You can usually offer to pay a smaller cancellation fee and see if they will let you off easy.

If this is a car deal, you have 3 days to cancel, all other leases like rentals on homes etc no
