Why would you think either one would need a "base"?
Why would you want to catagorize any set of voters as to
who they would vote for or why? The world is not segregated
into news byte boxes. Everyone of us out here would vote
for anyone of them --running for any office--by asking ourselves
who would be best for the job. If I vote for Barach, does that
make me black? Are we all that franchised now? Very sad!
