Should I buy Sims 2?

I have the original Sims for the PC. I am sick and tried of playing it. Should I get Sims 2? If not what is another good PC game?

The sims 2 is much more detailed than its original. The sims are more detailed, there are more life stages, more neighborhoods to live in, more camera angles and views, etc. The sims are detailed not only in graphics, but in other ways. They are more than just skill pints, personality points, and moods. Theyare more customizable and have wants, fears, lifetime goal, meories, and apairation, and even can influence other sims to do things. There are even things such as *drivable cars, vampires, zombies, werewolves, servos you can actually control as a regular sim. Sims can even run they're own shop or business.

I could go on and on about the sims, but the point is there is much more to the sims 2 than there was to the original. Now if you enjoyed the sims 1, at some point, then you can at least appreciate all the new features. But if you are just sick of the sims entirely then perhaps you would rather save your money. My guess is that Sims 1 and 2 are very similar but Sims 2 has more stuff and better graphics (I have it on PSP, which is very diffrent from the PC version) However if you're looking for an alteranitive might I suggest the little known of but hidden treasure Second Life.
Second Life (SL) is a virtual reality simulation game created by a comapny called Linden Lab that wanted to conduct an experiment to see what would happen if people were given a way to create the world around them, the product is Second Life. A player in SL is given 1 avatar or character, this is 100% customizable...and no I'm not talking about the Sim creation tools you're used to, that's complete crap compared to SL. SL allows you to change not only your standard features but also to create...anything...in game from basic shapes and colors and textures you can upload from a paint program. You can make anything, houses, weapons, cars, or attachments for your avatar like jewerly, or a costume, a lot of people have made avatars that look like characters from movies, TV, and comics like Harry Potter, SpongeBob, and all kinds of animals. Oh and when I mentioned uploading textures, that also means you can create your own cloths! Some people have even started their own bussiness and make their living in SL by building, texturing, or scripting stuff. SL is truly a virtual world and it reminds me a bit of the sims, just with a lot more freedom. So in short, if you're tired of the Sims don't get Sims 2, get Second Life (it can be downloaded and accouts are free at http://www.secondlife.com)

Sims 2 is fun, u can also turn off the ageing if u are afraid of your sims dieing, its a cheat, the game booklet tells u how to open the type screen and just type in the cheat, the booklet also tells u that.

the sims 2 for the PC is awesome, and very addicting! The sims 2 for ps2 is horrible, at least I don't like it! go for the PC version!

Well the sims 2 is much more fun in my opinion but if you dont like the first one maybe you wont like the 2nd one. The 2nd one is cool cuz you can send sims to college, and they actually grow up from a kid to an adult...I mean you can actually see them going thru stages.

ok, you may run the game in case you arn't linked to the interenet so as it truly is not the priority. Google Direct X 9 and receive it and set up it, in case you arn't particular on what to do ask someone you already know with slightly bit computer understanding. Then once DX9 is put in it truly is going to run wonderful.
