Is because sprint bought them out? Then they said if you have nextel partners it's different. I think I have nextel partners. So can I still get out of my contract?

Good question! I've just cancelled my Nextel contract and would like to know that as well! As far as Nextel "partners," go, I think Sprint would be considered Nextel's only partner of sorts. Nextel isn't affiliated with T-Mobile, Cingular, Alltell, or Verizon, or any of the other big national companies, so I know none of them would be considered Nextel's partner! I switched to Verizon, and they are in no way partners with Nextel!

Maybe if you switched from Nextel to Sprint service, then you might not have to pay the fee, since it's all in the same company, but I can't imagine they'd let you out of paying the fee for switching to any other company!

If you find a way to get out paying the fee, please let me know. I can also come back and let you know if I find anything! My email is utah.dustin@yahoo.com.

Good luck!
