Israel doesn't own all the land over there. It would like to, however. When the state of Israel was created, it was not an empty piece of land with nobody living there. It was peopled by Palestinians, and area was called Palestine. Israel was put in the middle of Palestine, and the people, who had been living there for generations, were kicked out WITH NO COMPENSATION. How did the powers who created Israel think that this would not create resentment?
Israel has since been systematically inching its way across the land that was left for the Palestinians. The Palestinian people are now 'crunched together' in islands of land, and the Israelis continue to bulldoze down their houses. How is this fair? Yet so many people believe that Israel is the victim in this scenario.
So, to answer your question, the land belongs to the Palestinians.
You have to think about the possibility of this happening in your own life: what if the original peoples/tribes in your country came back and kicked you out of your land WITH NO COMPENSATION?

When have Palestinian Arabs ever had self rule? Only since Israel gave Gaza to them. Until then they were always ruled by others. The Ottoman Empire ruled them until they chose the wrong side in WWI. Then the British mandate, the UN for a short period, then Egypt and Jordan, and finally Israel. Only Israel has given them freedom. And now look at what they've done with it. Shame on you, Palestinians, for not following in the footsteps of Ghandi and Martin Luther King, you would have had your statehood MANY years ago and you could have lived in peace and prosperity. But you have made yourselves the scourge of the world, the lowest human beings possible. I wish you a brighter future, look to peace, not war.

A few things I would Like to point out:
1. The Israelite originally lost their homeland because of constant idol worshipping. The people were split in two and then conquered; gradually by the Assyrians and the Chaldean Babylonians. The Israelites were taken away from Israel and were permitted to return after the Persians conquered the Babylonians. The Israelis, while in thier native homeland, were ruled by the Persians.
After the Conquest of the Persians by Alexander the Great and the subsequent partition of his empire Israel was able to fight for it's independence(caused by a persecution that make's the Holocaust, in a matter of proportion, look like an episode of Sesame Street). Due to political problems, The Israelite King at the time brought in the Romans who then conquered the Israelis. Revolts repeatedly failed and resulted in the Jewish people being scattered to the 4 corners of the Roman Empire.
Kind of like the Iroquois' enemies inviting the Europeans to help fight the Iroquois and then going an extra step and then waged war against the Native Americans and then putting them on reservations.
2.Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered 90% of everything Yasser Arafat wanted and Arafat turned it down. When the terrorists took over the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, they said that they would throw thier guns down and surrender ony if Arafat gave the order. Which he did not. If the Israelis are guilty of warmongering then they have no monopoly on it.
3. The Last time I checked the Koran specifically said that Israel belongs to the Jewish people.

Generations of Arabs and Jews shared the land and co-existed well around the times of the crusade till the late 1940s.
In actual fact many arab caliphat had jewish and christian advisors on their staff.
After the crusades the land became predominantly arab owned but there was little or no hostility toward the jews.
With british conivence and the fact that no-one really new what else to do with thousands of displaced jews after the WW2 it was decided to give them Palistine which the british had swindled the arabs out of after WW1.
So these people were dumped in palestine and formed the country now called israel, in the process displacing arab houses and workplaces.Hiding behind the holocaust as the justification for the atrocities they were committing in the process.
Subsequent wars with their neighbours have made the region a basket case on tenterhooks. The most recent invasion of Lebanon by the Iraeli military showed that they are beatable and very touchable.
I think it will be a long time before Isreal goes looking for another fight.

ahhahaha wow you people forget that the Jews LOST the land because after moses came back with the 10 commandments from God the Jews were WORSHIPING a GOLDEN COW..because God said this is your promised land as long as you worship me and only me and follow moses as a prophet and be modest and stuff like that.but they didn't so they lost it.so to answer your question i think the Palestinians should BUT i think they should work together to make it a home for everyone.but like that's guna happen.these days everyone hates everyone and that's truly the saddest thing that could ever happen. The Israelis who are in charge treat the Palestinians like **** and everyone knows that. they are so poor the only means of defense they have are rocks, so they thrown them. honestly can you tell me that throwing rocks are worse than machine operated guns that kill almost instantly. seriously think about it. another FACT the media portrays Palestinians showing footage of them throwing rocks..but they never showed the pictures before of the Israeli people killing Palestinian women, men and children. I've seen it with my own two eyes. I've been there and it is a sad thing. once you go there i think many people will change their minds..but i mean if you wanna think **** go ahead.I'm not guna tell you ppl what to do.
God Bless

Palestinians had the majority in Israel before it became modern day Israel plus they ran way from Israel after they revolted and lost to the Romans a few 1000 years before the new Israel was illegally created. I'm sorry but if you aren't the majority and you left your land for over 1000 years you don't get it back.

Palestinians, because they have had it worse than any group of people since the Israelis put them in permanent refugee camps in 1948, and they gave them no way to voice their opinions, that is why the PLO and Islamic Jihad came around.

It would be in their individual ownership, either Israelite or Palestine. The land titles that the individuals have before the conflicts occur, should be honored and be implemented as owners and not of Nationalities that dishonors them.

Start with one simple fact:
Palestine is currently divided among several countries: mostly Jordan, then Israel, parts of Lebanon and Syria and the disputed territories (Judea, Samaria, Gaza).
