I have a Macbook and I want to watch videos from my computer on my Sony brand TV.

You'll need to check for a video output, if the comp is less then a year old, a S-Video ouput, you'll need a S-Video cable. if you TV does not have S-Video input you'll need a media converter(S-Video to RCA, Coax(normal antenna jack), or Component). If you search at Mac for you Laptop model you should be able to find the interfaces on the laptop. If you don't have a S-Video output. you could get a VGA to S-Video converter and plug into the monitor output on the laptop.
