Yes. Don't be a mom in a Disney movie Disney movie.

My personal belief that the reason they kill off the Mothers, is that the Mothers would have NEVER allowed them to go off on adventures... but since they were left in the care of their father, he is excused because he's wit-less.
(Some of these "dads" are the comic relief)

Lets see how many Dead Disney Moms there are out there, shall we?

>The Little Mermaid
>Beauty and the Beast
>Aladdin (Jasmin's Mom is dead.. and SO Is Aladins - Dad comes back in sequel)
>Pocahontas
>Atlantis (The princess's mom- forgot the girls name name)
>Lilo & Stitch (Killed off both parents here!)
>Finding Nemo (Mom is eaten at beginning)
>Pirates of the Caribbean (BOTH Will turner and his girl friend have dead moms- Dads are around.. some wetter then others)
>Chicken Little (Chicken little's Dad talks to picture. I don't think Mom is on vacation)
>Snow White (Both parents dead. Step mom doesn't count)
>Cinderella (another evil step Mom that does not count)
>Pinocchio Gepetto is a foster dad with no Mom
>Bambi (Some one shot his MOM!)
>Peter Pan (No parents at all)
>The Jungle Book (both parents dead)
>The Hunchback of Notre Dame (both parents dead)
>Tarzan (both parents dead)
>James and the Giant Peach (both parents dead)

GEEEZE They have a grudge, you think?

PS. Lion king- his mom is alive, dad is dead

Yes!! I noticed that and also that most Disney movies had a lot of themes where the kids were orphans too.

I wonder if Walt Disney had something against parental figures??

This has been going on for years with Disney. Where were Huey, Duey and Louey's parents,, they were with Donald their uncle. Where were the parents on Mickey Mouse, Mickey was their uncle. Even Popeye which wasn't Disney's cartoon, who were Sweet Pea' s parents?
