yea you can check out a EB games or gamestop and sell your ps2 there but usually they give you store credit and you have to be eighteen or have driver's license to get cash and they usually are cheap in giving cash back instead of store credit.
I think your best bet is either E-bay or just go to a local pawn shop and see how much money they will give you.

ebay is usually a great place to do that stuff or check your local yellow pages for a gaming store that buys and sells used games and consoles.
