It's early but here is my Top 3
Either...

1. Kevin Martin
Went from borderline starter to borderline all-star in a single season. Great scoring guard up and coming on the Kings.
2. Daivid Lee
Dominating on the boards in his second season in the league. While he was a starter the Knicks were a much better team.
3. Luke Walton
Went from bench warmer to the third best player on the Lakers and the reason the Lakers are playing well this season despite the team's injuries. Improved shooting vastly.

Kevin Martin of the Sacramento Kings. He averaged 10.8 points per game last year while shooting 48% from the floor, 37% from behind the arc, and 85% from the line. This year he is averaging 21.2 points per game while shooting 50% from the floor, 44% from behind the arc, and 91% from the line.
