I would say that the chances are pretty low. The indications of life that we have found so far seem to be pretty low level types of life... for example, bacteria. It seems that the Earth just won the galaxy lottery and ended up in the right spot with all the right conditions condusive to creating life.
However, we don't know much about other galaxies. And until we get a space ship that can travel SIGNIFICANTLY faster than the speed of light, we won't know much about them. We can only help that the lottery winners on other planets come up with this technology before we die.

Never know, question can't really be answered as we don't know. You could never see or meet anybody ever. Or tomorrow you could wake up and one be knocking on your day. Time will tell.
