Questions they'll probably ask you:
-Why do you want to attend this university? (give reasons, ideally not "canned" ones like "it's a good school" or "it's in [insert place here].")
-What are your interests? (keep your answer relevant to your academic record and courses unless the interview presses for more info, in which case, elaborate on your extracurriculars or "worthy" past-times)
-What do you want to do in life? (relate how the university is going to help achieve your life/career goals)
-Anything else we should know about you? (elaborate on any main part of your life that wasn't covered; extracurriculars, awards, honors, etc.; or, throw in a funny life story where you learned something; this elaboration should make you stand out as a "unique" person)

If a question catches you off-guard, take a few seconds to compose yourself and then begin your answer. These types of questions rarely have "right answers." They just want to see how you think under pressure and your creativity.

Be sure to have concrete examples for whatever you claim.

Questions you should ask them:
-Something that can't be obtained from their website or viewbooks. For example: For the students who have transferred out of this university, what were their reasons for transferring? Be sure to ask one or two questions; it shows intelligence and interest.

University interviews vary. I used to conduct alumni interviews. I would ask about questions about everything from academics to extracurriculars to extraordinary situations to get the candidate to talk about something with passion. My goal was to see if I would have wanted to have the candidate as a friend or a classmate.
What's your favorite subject and why? What was your favorite class?
What do you think you want to major in?
How much do you practice ____?
Why do you want to go to school here? What do you think you want to major in?

Note: there are no right answers! Be yourself.

At my interview, they asked me about my major and why I chose that major, why I want to go to this particular school, asked about my favorite subject in school and why, asked about my strengths and weaknesses, about my extra-curriculars (why I chose the ones I did, do I plan on getting involved in college), what my academic and career goals are....that kind of stuff. That's all I remember, hope I helped a little. Good luck at your interview.
