Let me start by saying that I'm really open minded when it comes to providing job opportunities for those abroad but right now I'm having some trouble deciding whether or not outsourcing is a good concept or not...I called into a company that I have an account with to inquire about my account and was connected with someone overseas who quite obviously understood nothing that I said. The person kept cutting me off and wasn't listening to me at all. I've typically never had an issue with calling into a company that outsourced to another country. Has anyone else expirienced this? What are your thoughts on outsourcing?

I seriously HATE it. Aside from the language barrier there is the cultural thing. THey may not think they are being rude, but dang, they can be seriously offensive! I have also had trouble with them when I ask to talk to their supervisior, they REFUSE. No American would do that.

If I had to choose between a company which used Americans for customer service and one that outsourced I would b\pick the American company every time, and be willing to pay extra for decent treatment.
