Old cars, slip a length of clear plastic tube down the filler neck until it is at the bottom of the tank, the tube should be long enough to reach the ground, stand up and suck until the petrol nearly reaches your mouth, rapidly lower the end to the ground, petrol hould start to flow so direct it into suitable container, 2 litre Coke bottles are good.
New cars have obstructions to stop this so disconnect a fuel line, slip a tight fitting plastic pipe over and drain the fuel that way.
Some sods just cut my friends fuel line and stole some petrol and let the rest drain away.
Beware, petrol vapour is explosive, and you need a tennis court full of air to a matchbox full of petrol for the best possible bang so
an empty fuel tank with a single drop of petrol in is far more dangerous than a full tank, dont drain your tank to do a bit of welding, remove it from the vehicle, I chap I know lost an eye because he was smoking by an "empty " fuel tank which proceeded to blow up in his face.

Drain straight from the tank with the feed hose just disconect and the petrol will just flowin to petrol can placed under the car.

get a can of fuel and a length of fuel pipe stick the fuel pipe on the carb inlet after disconnecting the feed hose start the engine and it will pump the fuel from the tank into a suitable can placed beside the car

Modern cars have protective grates to prevent siphoning of gas however disconnecting the fuel line and shorting the pump as the first answer suggested is a good way to do it just make sure its your gas tank as siphoning gas is illegal.

siphon it out by using a pipe, Insert one end into the tank and suck on the other end to draw the petrol out and place other end in a suitable container

Leave your car parked somewhere in Liverpool. Not only will your fuel tank be empty but your wheels will be done away with too.

use a tube and put it in tank then suck on it and syphon the fuel out, be careful it tastes awful and dont smoke soon after.
