Labels are not medals to be worn. Newton reign for 300 years, Einstein for 100. Each was of his time and shared his quest for knowledge. They are not so much as Genius for during their tenure here on Earth their motivation was self serving. The age of discovery has yet to climax even though the mysteries of Time and origins of the Universe have been realized in the document published on 6/6/6. God, the Cosmological Constant is a 2,000 word document that has no religious connection. It just introduces GOD to Man, again.

Einstein, hands down. Newton made his laws on the obvious, that things fall to the ground and such. Einstein, on the other hand made theories that it is very possible without him we would still not have today. His General theory of Reletivity was the greatest contribution to science ever made by one man and that was only of of the many many many things he has done. Special theory of Reletivity, man contributions to quantum mechanics with other countless theories. Newton is still a genius, but Einstien's work is evemn ore incredible.
by the way, Einstien proved Newton's gravity wrong.

Among many other discoveries:

Newton had the genius to equate the force that caused an apple to fall to the ground was the exact same force that keeps the moons and planets in orbit.

Einstein had the genius to determine that energy and momentum laws that had stood the test of time for over 300 years were wrong - and he was correct.

Take your pick - they're both pretty amazing characters!

They were both genius's in there own time. Einstein was more recognized as a genius during his life time. He understood things that the rest of us still can't fathom even after it's explained to us.

First of all, those that are mentioning the apple thing- IT NEVER happened, that is a fable. The truth was the plague sent Newton home, where he made his discoveries.

Those that mention the apple thing as truth, shouldn't be voting on who is the larger genius.

Newton couldn't ascertain out how gravity works. He merely assumed that its an instantaneous stress. even as he got here up with the equation that describe gravity's function, he did not understand what gravity easily is or the way it extremely works Einstein take care of to describe gravity because the curvature of area and time, and sparkling up the priority about gravity easily not being instantaneous.

Newton. Einstein took formula's and equations from other people and created something new. So in reality, he got help from other's. So it's Newton.
