I was wondering whether to sell this car, we fixed the transmission a few months ago and we got it checked out and its doing great. there's about 103,000 miles on it. Is it worth selling, I dont mind driving it , since there are no probs with it. But after getting a 07 camry, and driving the C220 seems weak to me and a little bumpy on the highway. I cheked kbb.com and the trade in value was around 3.5-4 K. Is this car worth keeping, is there still alot until its undrivable? Also if I do sell it, is it a car people look at in the used car market?

Well the Benz is probably going to be my son's start-up car, I'm driving the camry now, but I was wondering that if he drives it for a 6 mths to a year, the value of the car will go down, also If with would make sense to get him another car, probably used, for his first car as he is getting his license son

Assuming 20,000 km per year, 103k miles is very standard for a 12 year old car. So if that's a concern, don't even worry about it. A '95 C-class will last for at least 500,000 km if serviced properly... If that's not an issue, then sell it. You'll be paying less for the insurance, maintenance, etc. As a matter of fact, you don't even have to worry about maintenance since your '07 Camry comes with a reasonable warranty... Not sure how much you can sell it for since I live in Canada. Here it'd be around 4-5k USD.

Good luck!

The CEL (check engine light) doesn't care what the odometer reads. There are a large number of parameters that can trigger the CEL and trust me, you didn't even come close to "checking all items that should or could be the cause". Did you, for example, check the charcoal cannister shut-off valve? Did you check both O2 sensors? Did you check the MAF (mass air flow) sensor? There is no such thing as a 'reset' button. The codes have to be erased with a scanner.

Unless you absolutely need 2 cars you should sell it..I would bet you could get 4-5K for it.
