Living in CA you get Glamis and Dumont and a few others. Where are the closest sand dunes for off road vehicles.

Kermit Sand Hills is the only one that comes to mind anywhere in Texas... its atleast 6 hours from Dallas...might as well make a weekend of it and head to glamis, there's nothin better

Texas is way different. Ask at dealerships for places to ride your dirt bike. Ther will be riders there who will know.
