He died much more easily than any of the thousands of victims of his regime. He died faster than the time it took for him to fall because his neck was cleanly broken at the end of the drop. As for the taunting he was lucky all they did was bring him in and execute him. They could have spent some time breaking fingers and toes but obviously did not torture him at all.

If my son ever committed mass genocide, I'd strangle him myself. Yes, it would hurt me, but sometimes one must think about what is best for everyone else than focus on personal feelings. One life is nothing when compared with thousands.
If it were my father that had been in the same situation as Saddam Hussein, I would still love him and be sad that he was dead. However, I would also feel that he brought his punishment upon himself. It's like that old adage, "You do the crime, you do the time."
I'm sure Saddam Hussein had some good in him. Problem is, the rest of the world didn't see it. I hear it's a common thing for genocidal monsters to be kind and loving where their own families are concerned.

Instead of hanging him or anyone, they should have given him life in Prison. I am against Capital Punishment. I believe the Iraq Government, acted to swiftly. I don't think Saddam deserved to die, by hanging.

If my son was a mass murderer I don't think I'd care much that he got hanged.
