When you go to put on mascara wad up a tissue and wipe off the excess makeup before applying. Apply the mascara as thin as possible and it will not clump. To make your lashes look long, apply it in long smooth strokes and avoid pushing the brush back towards your eye, only start at the base and pull away from your lid. Also, when you open mascara, don't pump the cap and brush applicator to "mix" the makeup, that puts air in it and dries it out faster. If Mascara is old it sticks, throw it out after six months.

Use a clean spoolie (fancy word for an eyebrow brush) or an eyelash comb after you've applied mascara to brush through the lashes & separate them. Don't wait too long after applying to brush, though, because the mascara will start to flake once it's dried.

It's probably the mascara brush. Try using disposable mascara wands instead or use a lash comb or spoolie to comb through your lashes after applying mascara. Ideally, you'd buy another mascara. A good mascara separates your lashes, along with lengthening and volumizing them.

To make your eyelashes not stick together when putting on your mascara rub as much as the mascara on the side of the tube, them instead of going up to the top of your head when putting it on start low near your eye and move th brush backa dn forth, it makes them look more voluized and seperated, if you want them more angled or seperated use and eye brow brush and to curl them use and eyelash curler
