When I had my first child 8 months ago I only had that feeling for the first month. After that, all of the sorness went away. So I would think that you would need to go back to your midwife and have her check you out. Because I have never seen that before in a woman. But when I was having the feeling that down there was too tight I would run a bath and set in the water for a while. And after sitting in the water for a while I would feel as thought it was not a pulling feeling anymore. But if I was you I would defintely go back to the midwife and have her check you out. Hope this helps you. Congrats on the new baby!

You should go back to the doctor. I have heard before of "honeymoon" stitches, where the person stitching you up will try to make things as tight down there as they used to be and that can cause long term pain for some people. Mind you, I don't know if they do these "special" stitches anymore, but you could have scar tissue building, an extra stitch, etc. Get it checked out. Good luck.

I know the feeling. After having an 8 lbs 1.3 ounce baby and i only weighed 132 lbs. I had to have a level 4 episiotomy. It look more than 12 weeks for me to heal. Go back to the dr. and see what they should do. This could be serious.

I had three sets of stitches after having my first baby and felt very uncomfortable for weeks also. I would say its probably normal but you should get it checked out by your doctor just in case. If they offer anything you dont feel comfy with then u could always refuse unless its absolutely necessary health wise. Either way i wish you the best of luck.

it could be that when you go to the toilet you aggravate your injury.. i would try and take some kind of laxitive, or you could eat prunes and stuff.
once you have let it heal it could get better.
i would really really speak to the doctor though... even if you have to get some more stitches, its probably better than what will happen if you leave it.

You should definitely see about it. This happened to me except I was sore when having sex etc. I went in to hospital and they re-did the stitches and it is much better now. Go and see about it and it's not as bad as it sounds, honest!

Try squatting and not sitting. Sounds weird but it really helped me. But, 12 weeks, if it persists you better get in to the doctor/midwife.
