Especially Iron Maiden (The Gods of Metal), the Distillers, Arch Enemy and Metallica!

No you Americans 'started' rock we just made it heavier. I love Rock from Light to Heavy, American or British but can't honestly say I like punk. Some of it is Ok. It did start in the UK though and has its place as does all music! Love to you too but sorry I don't own anything with the US flag!

I love rock music, most of the time I can't stand to listen to anything but rock music. And most of punk rock started in the UK, so yeah I'm pretty glad that they exist lol.

I'll get beaten up for this, but I'm pretty sure punk broke in the US, and we just quickly bandwagoned - the Stooges, MC5 and the Ramones were all about before we had any major punk acts.
Of course, we have trillions of great bands, but I reckon if it came to fisticuffs it'd be a pretty even fight...
