Post Modernism was dubbed for painting style but as far as literature RP McMurphy is alienated yet he tries to get control of the situation, or should I say the nut house. Post Modernism is closed associated with existentialism so you could said McMurphy is out of place in the world, even in the nut house where he belongs.
