Seems like it would work, but I'm too chicken to try it.

lol..maybe I should add a bit more detail; I mean burn as in like touching a hot piece of metal or something of that sort for 1 or 2 seconds... Not pouring gasoline on your body & then lighting a match

Freckles are one way skin (your skin's way, in this case) reacts to sunlight or other UV it protects you from. Instead of a uniform spread of melanin (the dark colored pigment in freckles/tans) like some people get, freckled skin takes the strategy of putting it in concentrated areas.

Application of heat wouldn't affect freckles. They're essentially part of your skin, and they'll burn/melt/char/dissolve etc at the same temperature, if not higher. Even if a controlled burning method were around they'd come right back.

A better idea is a very mild bleach solution (the traditional approach is cucumbers, which contain small amounts of natural bleach). You'll end up with fairer skin, but much a more uniform hue. The other route is tanning. At some point as your skin darkens, you'll find that your freckles blend a bit better. Either way, you'd be well served with the advice of a professional dermatologist.

Keep in mind that while freckles may not be the mainstream style, there are lots of people who think they're sexy. Ultimately, being attractive is a balance between accepting your body for what it is, and working to keep it at the peak of what it should be.

Freckles are not a bad thing and actually look good on some people. If you are not happy now with your appearance now then you are destined for more bazaar approaches to appearance alteration. It's like the Michael Jackson thing and how freaky he looks now. Did you ever see the childhood pictures of him? Be happy with your freckles!

if you're thinkin about burning your skin with the sun, its ain't gonna work cuz sun burn causes more freckles. if you're talkin about burning your skin with fire...you're nuts.
