I don't have a link. I was watching the start of the 110th Congress on C-SPAN. It has to do with using the 109th Congress' rules as a basis for the 110th's rules.

Not race minorities, minority party in the House. The Democrats, upset over the 109th Congress' rules, applauded Pelosi when she came up with a list of "rights" for the minority party (either party when in the minority). Now that the Democrats are the majority, they don't want to use them. Why? I thought one of their campaign issues was reforming the Congress into actually working, not just flipping sides of an oppressor.

scottyurb - I was only wondering why they would lie to the people who voted for them. This is suppossed to be a unified bipartisan Congress that heals the nation, not a negative copy of the last Congress.

Because the Dem.s are as hipocritical as ever now that they FINALLY found enough support to get in. Too bad it was handed to them by a bunch of morons who inadvertantly supported terroism.

you burn enough bridges... people are going to stop trying to build them back...

even if it may not be the moral thing to do...

besides... I bet she thinks if she did pass them... then later if the Republicans got back in... they probably wouldn't return the favor, based on past actions...

Republicans wanted to play a game of hard ball... looks like the game isn't over...

and I didn't hear her promise anything about a minority bill of rights... maybe I missed it... of course I'm not in California either...

Because they are not in the minority anymore and don't want to give the same rights to the Republicans that they let them have when they were in the minority.

Repubs abuse everyone else, but when they might be slighted, the scream like babies!
I guarentee that they will have far more voice than the democrats did in the republican equal opportunity congress of the last 12 years

Waaa Waaa Waaaaaa!

Give me just one good reason why the Dems shouldn't use their majority to the same ends as the hyprocritical Republickends did?

Keeping Republicans out of policymaking decisions is the best thing this country can do for itself.

Too late for dividing up American people.
We don't need a bill of rights as much as minorities need to.
But, Racisim is still there hiding behind a shadow.
