Because I cannot get into the 'thee's and 'thou's in my copy, and I really want to be able to read the book. Help would be amazingly appreciated.

Yes they do. Personally I don't like Hemmingway, but generally like literature with lots of thee's and thou's. Esp Shakespear and the Bible (I find it very interesting as literature religion aside).

reading aloud to yourself sometimes helps you get used to thee's and thou's

BTW Hemmingway didn't grow up with them and that may be why they don't quite flow in his writing.

I don't know of any abridged version but their might be Reader's Digest does a lot of abridged copies of books.

I do understand how you feel but plow thru it, the ending is not what you expect, or it wasn't what I expected.

there are no "thees" or "thous" in any of Hemingway's works...you're reading the wrong book

The book is still under copyright so there is no legal site that has the audio free. The library is your best bet.
