While Statics is not necessarily difficult in material, many students find it difficult because it is their first exposure to a real engineering class.
Statics is the study of mechanical systems in static equilibrium. This is the basic analysis of physical systems which are at rest. It is essentially the balance of forces on a system.
As I have said, it's not as mathematically rigorous as dynamic systems, so it is not difficult from that standpoint. However, it requires a thorough understanding of physics and mathematics in order to solve Statics problems quickly and accurately.
It is an extremely crucial class for a good foundation in engineering.

^haha I bet this guy's an engineer like me and while I say the same thing now, at the time those were pretty challenging esp. dynamics. depends a lot on your teacher though and whether he likes to give hard problems, because there is a very wide range of difficulty for statics/dynamics probs. having graduated, I still consider dynamics to be one of the hardest classes I ever took. having said that, if you cant get a B-B+ in statics you probably shouldnt go further into engineering.

Depends on who your teacher is and how good you are at math. I'm decent at math (up until Calculus) but I had a good teacher and Statistics I breezed through making a 98 for the semester.

Just stay in one place and it will come to you. Actually, you must first take either remedial spelling or remedial typing. I think you mean statistics. I found it very difficult, but then, I went into law, didn't I? Somebody good in math would probably find it fun.

It's not hard to deal with if you have a good supply of fabric softener.

Assuming you mean Statistics...I am a math person and it was one of the more difficult college courses that I took...more difficult that Calculus.
Good luck dude!

Yes if you don't have a math mentality. I had a horrible time in stats.
