newman could smile and laugh and do movies that kinda pick you up. that is kinda important to me. brando was always dark and heavy and while it made me think, it always dragged me down. so i like newman. if i checked out a movie it is 10 to 1 i would pick newman over brando. brando had some mental problems but was an excellent actor. he must have been bipolar. he needed some meds but then he probably couldn't act like that.
