Math Problem Fractions?

what is half of 1/2 ?
what is half of 1/4 ?
what is half of 1/3 ?
what is half of 1/6 ?

what fraction is 1/3 of 1/2 ?
what fraction is 1/3 of 1/4 ?

Please tell me how you got the answer not just the answer.
Some times it helps to know the answer then figure it out that way so i would like to know how u did it.

1/4,1/8,1/6,1/12,1/6,1/12 in the first four just take the denominator times two. In the last two mulitiply the denominators

1/2x1/2=1/4
1/2x1/4=1/8
1/3x1/2=1/6
1/2x1/6=1/12
1/3 of 1/2 is 1/6
1/3of 1/4 is1/12
