Senator Barack Obama. As the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review he likely would have been a very successful attorney, but instead lobbied for the rights of the unfortunate.
He is passionate about what he does, and I'll be looking to see what moves he makes in the future... possibly even the first African American president of the United States.

Frederick Douglass. To me, he is a hero of an abolitionist. I happen to think that all abolitionists were heroes, but Frederick Douglass was by far the best. I hear he even gave a speech in my hometown. But yeah, he came from a life of slavery to a life of heroism.
