it sounds like you tore your hymen. There is no need to tell your boyfriend because the only way he will find out is if you tell him.
Don't worry about it lots of girls tear their hymen as long as you don't have sex you are still a virgin.

A hymen can tear from a number of activities, including vaginal intercourse. And some women are literally born without a hymen. That doesn't mean that they were non-virgins when they were born.
I've giving you some links with great information on this and some very related topics. Read it all.
One other thing, though. If your boyfriend starting fighting with you over this, started accusing you of having sex, you don't need him in your life. This is abusive behaviour, and the sooner that you can identify this in anyone and learn to leave that person, the better off you will be. YOU COUNT, so don't let him or anyone else try to tell you anything that says otherwise.

You might have broken your hymen when you rode that horse. Riding a horse can sometimes cause your hymen to break. But that does not mean that you are not a virgin. You are a virgin until you have sex. Tell your boyfriend that a hymen can break from riding a horse, riding a bike, using a tampon, and other activities other than sex.

It's possible (and entirely normal) that you could have broken your hymen riding the horse, especially since you saw blood. It doesn't necessarily have to hurt, everyone is different.
But on the other hand, you ARE still a virgin because you haven't had sex with anyone. Not having a hymen does not mean you're not a virgin. And really, it's none of your boyfriend's business!

Hymens can be broken before the first intercourse by many things - riding a horse is one. There are lots of variations of hymens in women. They are not all the same. It does not have to hurt to break it. If you are scared of your boyfriend about this, maybe you should not be with him. You should not be afraid, you've done nothing wrong. Talk to your dr.

woman can break their hymen very quickly sometimes. having a tampon in can break your hymen and i guess riding a horse could if there were enough stress? tell your boyfriend to relax. there is sometimes pain with a hymen breaking but that is usually with sex the first time and that all by its self can hurt. so dont worry unless you have been penetrated you probably still have it so you and your boyfriend can rest assured. Good luck

Both of you should probably take a look at http://www.coolnurse.com/hymen.htm It'll tell you all about it, and how it isn't an indicator of virginity, and is really easy to tear doing other stuff (like horse riding), and often doesn't hurt at all.
If you still have a hymen, you can see it if you look down there with a hand-held mirror, it's right at the entrance to your vagina, on the outside.

Your hymen has in all probability been broken already... Alot of girls folk dont have them because of the fact they destroy early on of their existence. not a huge deal. There doesnt might desire to be blood for it to interrupt the two. and it will nevertheless harm the 1st time you have intercourse because of the fact your physique isnt used to having something the size of a small cucumber interior it.... might desire to smarten up until now having intercourse, kiddo. You sound too youthful in any case... He isnt THAT into you. F*cking is only f*cking once you're basically sixteen.
