i was just wondering if you gain weight during puberty. and if you do how much weight? and how long does it last? or do you gain weight before your period(i havent gotten it) i am 12. and right smack dab in the middle of puberty pubic hair, some boob, discharge. but i have gained a bunch of weight i wasnt sure if it was conneted to puberty or your period or something... answers please!

It's normal to gain weight during puberty, you're in the middle growing after all! You start building up fat at your boobs, butt and thighs to give you a womanly figure.
A lot of the weight you are gaining is muscle and bone as well. How much weight you gain varies with your height. The taller you are, the more you weigh.
You usually need to reach a certain body fat percentage to start your period. Shouldn't be too far away.

Yes, weight gain puberty go hand in hand. You thank your hormones for that. The amount of weight one gains differs from person to person. I suggest becoming more active and watch what you eat. Welcome to womanhood!
