I'm looking for a low cost printer for printing documents. I use black ink 90% of the time if at all.

It seems most of the printers are for photo's.

Thanks for any help.

If you want a printer that is purely for document printing, buy a laser printer instead of inkjet printer. Although the price will be more expensive, but the cost per printer is less than 50% of inkjet printer. Normally a black ink cartridge will allow you to print about 150 to 200 pages, but laser printer is talking about 1000 to 3000 printing per toner cartridge. Long term wise, laser printer will save a lot for you.

I would look on ebay for a printer; most printers now, even through the local stores are very, very cheap as the companies know you'll be spending most of your $$$$ on ink cartridges. All you need is an inkjet.
Walmart (online) has a Lexmark inkjet for $22.88 (and just $ .97 'cents' for shipping). Check on costs for ink cartridge replacement, however. You might find spending a little more on the printer will cost you less in the long run for a different type of cartridge.
Good Luck...

I believe "speedy" this printer is services to print head issues besides as some different Epsons. The restore fee is in many situations as lots with the aid of fact the printer grew to become into. try HP or Lexmark next time around. they are decrease priced and you get a sparkling print head on each and every ink cartridge (they fee greater with the aid of this) yet are common to replenish.

An inexpensive photo printer should be able to deal with documents (which are generally printed at a far lower resolution than photos) with no problem.

Photo printers will do documents in black just fine. They just ALSO are able to go into a higher resolution mode that does photos.
