My favorite singer is Belinda Carlisle, she is primarily pop. My favorite band is Blondie, they are primarily rock, although they were once considered punk rock and pop, too.

I think you meant to say what "genre" are they, not what gender...lol. But my favorite band is My Chemical Romance, and I guess they would fall under the genre Alternative Rock.
