He just wanted to have fun and make people laugh. I don't think many of you people now-a -days know who he is.

I sure do. It was the only show on a school night that my parents let me stay up late to watch. I took my parents to see him when he performed at our Fair........I had never seen my father laugh so hard . He was very talented not only as a comedian , but also as an artist.

I grew up with Red Skelton as well as Milton Berle, Jackie Gleason and many more of the real funny men & women when television first started out in the late 1940's. Everything was so much funnier when everything was done live without taping and cutting before we got to see yhem.

I do, The red Skelton Show, i liked when he played the clown , it was a great show back in the day.

The man of many faces and characters. The whole family watched him. :D
I also liked The Smothers Brothers, and Laugh-In.

I have several of the tapes that came out after he died. He was quite a comedian!! I really liked "The Mean Widdle Kid"!

I do Kit, He was a class act. He used to crack himself up sometimes and that made it funnier. What were the seagulls? Gertrude and Heathcliff? There aren't any around like him anymore.

Oh yeah .... Characters like Freddy the freeloader and Clem Kaddlehopper are never forgotten. All his humor was truly a gift..........

I've got 6 DVD's of him and they are just as good today as then.
The shows always ended the same way,"Thank you and God Bless."

I live about 25 miles from his hometown and they have a new art center in his name.
