I think now, Oakland may be looking at other positions based on Brady not playing well last night. I would say they may look at Calvin Johson since he's considered the best all-around player in the draft and see if they can get anything in a trade for Moss. They could also go the route of Adrian Peterson who would make an instant impact.
If they do go QB, I still think they would choose Brady since Russell's stock didn't go up a ton since he did it against a really pathetic Notre Dame defense. I mean, most of the long bombs he threw, he just threw the ball as far as he could and the receivers went out and got it. They were impressive feats of strength but weren't anything beyond that.

Good question. If Russell comes out, I think he will be one of the first few picks. I really hope he doesn't go to Oakland because they have so many problems they need many new players and especially need Al Davis to get lost (of course that won't happen). To tell you the truth, I'm not a huge Brady Quinn fan either. I think Oakland needs to do some trading with other teams to try getting more first round and second round picks if possible and get as many good players as possible instead of just one headline name player that may or may not excel.

Although Quinn, might be a better fit for the offense, I have not seen him play well against any defense of significance. He has consistently had a bad game or mediocre at best. I'm not sold on his ability to perform at the highest level. Of course you can rip up Army, Navy, Air Force and Stanford. What kind of game did he have against Michigan, SC or the bludgeoning that ND took last night. I'm not sold!!
Jamarcus Russel, is a better athlete, can make plays with his legs and has a stronger arm. I don't think he's quite as accurate or as good a fit for the offense, but hey, he can improve his accuracy and learn the offense. As useless as the Raider offensive line is, they need a QB that can make those plays with his legs because he won't have much time to throw the ball. So Jamarcus Russel is who they should go with.
Can you beleive he's from Alabama and we did'nt even recruit him?

I think Oakland will take Brady Quinn. He seems to fit the offense for a West coast team better than Russell.

I hope for Russells sake that they take Brady Quinn, because Russell deserves a better shot that the raiders, even the lions are a huge improvement
However, the Raiders should draft the All American Tackle from Wisconsin (still cant remember his name) or Allan Branch DT Michigan

I think Russel has raw tallent
but he is not top pick tallent
(I agree that ND's piss poor defense made him look good)
if the raiders want him they should probably trade down or hope to find him in the second round
I think Quinn and brian Brohm are better #1 picks

Russel is such a better quarterback than Quinn. He needs to go where they will let him showcase his super arm. He would be something passing to Moss.
