Cheapest way to do it is to refill your old cartridges.
Try Tesco online or PC world for refill kits - you get a lot of refills for half the price of a cartridge!

You know, you don't HAVE to just buy a new cartridge. If that printer you're talking about is a "bubble jet" or "ink jet", you should just be able to buy an ink syringe at a discount store (like Big!lots or something) and refill the cartridge yourself. I do this all the time. Usually, it works pretty well, although, after a few refills, the print quality goes down (print heads wear out!).

Avoid office supply places - their prices are usually based on the fact that their customers are businesses, who will pay anything and claim back the VAT. Try the less likely places - supermarkets for instance - the cheapest retailer I've found for mine is my local ASDA!

I offer a link to the site where I buy my ink.
You can use this link to check out their price for any printer compatible ink.
Good luck - and good savings to you...oh... if it's not considered too late - HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too!

Just give it shot at Amazon, it saves you tax and shipping (most of the times) and they sell third part inks too.
