Well, it depends on what grade you're in, because I'm not going to tell a 5th grader to do a PowerPoint presentation!
Three things that will make everyone pay attention:
-PowerPoint presentation, preferably witha projector (if you're in college, they may provide the projector and the computer)
-Act it out. This is especially fun for history presentations!
-Make it into a song, then rap or sing it. Embarassing, but it gets the job done! Poetry works, too.

Play 'With Risk comes Reward' with your audience to get them excited and involved. Turn your 'presentation' into asking questions and rewarding with something like tossing them a piece of candy to the first to answer. Even if not a correct answer because potentionally your information is not a foregone conclusion, a best answer or effort gets it. Amazing how grown adults will get competitive and involved and really takes the pressure off the presenter, making it an interactive experience, not 'Student/Teacher'.
I watched a sup use this in a conference with amazing response. Got people excited. The other sups presenting before him didn't get nearly the response. Was rather impressive.

Make it interactive, make up a game for the class to play. Ask the audience questions about the topic or come up with a situation about the topic (if you were doing a presentation on parental control, as an example) and ask the class how they would deal with it.
You can try making a poster or power point presentation (but remember, keep the wordage short!) or make up a skit.

depending on the topic, you might be able to present it as an interview. Of course, you'd have to have another person assist you in being the interviewee.......He/she could be in costume with props, if appropriate. Like I say, I don't know what the subject of your report is, but I've seen this done before and it catches people's attention.

No this idea might want to be counter powerful contained in the worst way. once you dim the lighting fixtures and turn the projector on he will glaze over and picture he's at artwork. This challenge is going deep. all of us warned you now to not marry a republican, yet did you pay interest- nooo?! Now look what you're decreased to: skill element shows instead of the all evening orgies like lower back in college! shame. ...I recommend, i extremely favor to assist right here yet what are you able to do? Howbout-try donning a Sara Palin skill in structure to mattress and placed a recording of the push Limbaugh practice on...who's conscious?

A poster board, a mini play, a clothes line presentation (each item of clothes on the clothesline is a small poster itself)...

This is more for younger school classes but something you can do is write questions on baloons and put the answers on paper inside the baloons. Blow up the baloons and then have different people read the questions and then pop the baloons to get the answers.
