I got in a fight with this boy awhile ago. He's white and he called me the n word so I punched him twice and since he did not hit me back nothing happened to him but I got suspended from school. I understand me getting suspended for hitting him. Other people were around when he said why Didn't he get in trouble.

First of all, I think he should have never called you the n word in the first place. Second of all, since he did I think you should have just walked away thereby showing that you are a better person than that. Always remember... violence doesn't get one anywhere but in trouble. As for the punishment... I think the suspension is warranted but I don't think the other guy should have gotten away with calling you the n word. I don't know maybe the school thinks he was punished enough when you punched him. Still though, I think they should have at least put him on detention for a week.

You got suspended for hitting him--but in the same hand that little jerk should have gotten suspended for making a racial remark to you. That's not fair to you. You need to talk to your parents and the school about it.

They should have suspended him too, No one should have to put up with name calling, I think it's terrible!! If he didn't call you a name you would have never punched him, So he should be out of school and you should be in.

The answer is simple. When he calls you a name, that is NOT profanity, where do you draw the line? stupid? moron? sissy? fag? you get my point. Physical violence is an act which carries a criminal penalty. You could have been charged with assault, if you kicked him then assault with a deadly weapon.
School management showed good sense in not suspending him-and, probably, kept you from having criminal charges brought against you. He learned that attitude from his parents, probably, so if he got suspended also you can bet they would have filed charges-as it is the school can say you were punished.

THe reason is because you hit him. He should have got something for his racial comment. All i can tell you is to just ignore ignorance. You are a bigger person if you just ignore someone like that and walk away. His day will come dont worry. You know violence doesnt solve anything. People like him will get thiers one day.
