Marie, thanks for asking thought-provoking questions. I am sickened by the male sex tourism industry for a few reasons, all of them dealing with power/ control.
1) The male sex tourism industry is dominated by very young women, girls, and boys, many of whom are sold by their families or stolen for this purpose.
2) In many parts of the world, women are still property.
3) Consenting adult men and women advertise for each other in various ways across the world. The key words are "consenting" and "adult".
4) Most of the women in the sex industry do not have any other opportunities for an income. They are often denied education, property ownership, or a cut of the profits.
5) I would say those Jamaican men are making some good money, and most of them are probably advertising themselves!
So I think it is not so much a dichotomy of prejudice as much as it is the circumstantial events surrounding the practice. Looking as a whole, the male sex tourism industry is far more socially damaging than the female sex tourism industry. As far as I am concerned, both men and women are equally entitled to enjoy sex in any way that is not exploitating minors or hurting anyone. Unfortunately, most sex workers in Asia are denied a future.

I've read about male sex tourism, and I will admit this is the first time I've heard of female sex tourism, though I have no doubt it exists. So, you will have forgive my ignorance on the one topic. from what I understand, male sex tourism, often to Asian countries, is basically slavery. Many of these "women" are children, as young as eleven, since "virgins" are desirable, (though, of course, they are not "virgins," just pawned off as
such). They live in brothels, are paid very little, if at all, and cannot escape. Often, their families have sold them because of dire poverty. I cannot knowledgeably speak about female sex tourism, but because, as you said, it is often Europe or the Caribbean that is most frequented, I would imagine the issue of "slavery" is not an issue at all, but something the men are willingly participating in. If your understanding of the issue is different, I would be interested to know. So, I think the difference in perception lies mostly with people's perceptions of the male "sex tourism" industry, and that it is little better than slavery, whereas very little is known in general about female sex tourism.
"Chinkus"-"prostitution" is male sexual assault? So, conversely, when men are the prostitutes it is female sexual assault?

1. Some people are afraid to criticize women or the things some women do out of fear of being labelled anti-feminist or misogynist by nut bars like Greawitch.
2. Male sexual aggression is scary and violent, women's sexual aggression is empowering.
3. Common belief is that men are always looking for sex, so sexual assault (and prostitution IS sexual assault) against men isn't such a bad thing.
And finally,
4. People will say that the males are preying on the female tourists. This idea fits in well with the popular "woman as victim" mentality.
Wendy:
Prostitution is sexual assault regardless of whether the victim (prostitute) is male or female. I know it isn't considered so legally, but it is in my mind.

Its the same with plenty of other issues.
When a man cheats on his wife he is a pig who should be punished. When a woman cheats on her husband it is The Bridges of Madison County a best selling novel. Naturally she is empowered and sexually liberated, in a loveless marriage.
Ask on here who is at fault for women initiating 75% of divorces and they'll blame the man. Ask on here who is at fault for men initiating 75% of divorces and they'll blame the man. (The first one is true).
It's basically ideological bigotry: "men bad. women good.", they can't be consistent on anything except that anyway. Most don't even understand the issues and I have to provide sources for things I've said ALOT. I'm surprised noone has simply denied female sex tourism exists yet... or have they?

Many women are really reserved about sex. Heck with many you have to pull it out of their noses to make them tell what they like. Now imagine these women talking about an rather sensitive topic like sex tourism.

Older British women have been going to Trinidad, Barbadoes, etc., to enjoy the bodies of young Black men since the 1930s, at least. There's even a Calypso song about it, "The Black Bamboo"
