At 22 weeks gestation babies are capable of fine hand and finger movements. In a short space of time this baby scratches, rubs and pats his cheek before doing the same to his nose.
From about 24 weeks of pregnancy when retinal development is complete, babies open and close their eyes intermittently. This helps a baby to perfect the blinking reflex, which will protect his eyes once he's born.

When should I start to feel my baby move?
You probably won't feel your baby kick until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks, even though he started moving at 7 or 8 weeks and you may have already witnessed his acrobatics if you've had an ultrasound.
Although your baby is moving and kicking regularly, many of his jerks and jolts aren't yet strong enough for you to feel. But later in the second trimester, those reassuring kicks will become stronger and more regular.
If you're tempted to compare notes with other pregnant women, don't worry if your experience differs from that of your friends. Every baby has his own pattern of activity, and there's no correct one. As long as your baby's usual activity level doesn't change too much, chances are he's doing just fine.
Congratulations on your new addition to your family. May your family be blessed with health in the new year.

I certainly hope so! I'm 25wks pregnant with my first baby and the movement is neverending. All day long whilst at my desk working - i feel baby move. On the drive home baby moves. At night when i'm relaxing, baby moves. When i'm ready for bed, baby moves. When i'm asleep i'll often be awoken because baby moves. The only break i get is about an hour when i first wake up in the morning. For that first hour i won't feel a thing and then the cycle will start again! lol.

I know it seems like it at times!! They are all different and maybe you're baby is just in a different position.
Right about this time, your baby will be moving head down (in most cases). That means that if those little feet are up and the arms have access the the front of your belly, then you might notice it more.
Good Luck!!!

Its perfectly normal! The baby is probably facing outwards and its both feet and hands you are feeling. It can make sleep difficult so rest whenever you have the chance to. It will soon calm down but its at the most active stage just now. Good luck and dont worry!

I hope its normal because i have the same problem lol. seriously though, just take it as a sign that you have a happy and healthy baby. i am 36 weeks pregnant with my third child and have found it very hard to concentrate at work but am happy to feel it all the time. If you still feel concerned just talk to your midwife about it. Thats what they are there for. Good luck with your baby!

yes this is normal. Every baby is different as well as each pregnancy will be different. This baby may be (or become) a larger baby than your previous children which may be why you feel her movement more often than not. With each of my pregnancies I found that each baby tended to be a little bit larger than the child before him and it seemed like each was more active. But who knows why exactly. Good luck and God bless!!

They can't move far - they are stored within a woman's body.
Being serious - each baby is different and some do move about a lot more than others while inside. I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight!

It's just normal for you on this particular pregnancy. It's okay.
Since this is your third pregnancy, you will know that the time to worry is when you don't feel movement.
Also, you are more sensitive to the movements with each subsequent pregnancy, so it might be that your other two were this active, but you are noticing more because of that increased sensitivity:)
