Silly question. But I'll give a serious answer. I'm assuming you are very young - in your teens, probably. If you invest that $10,000 wisely and don't touch it, it can grow to hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars over a long period of time. For example, imagine if you had invested that $10,000 in Microsoft when the company first went public 20 years ago. You would be rich today.

That is interesting that you put the dollar sign behind the number. Are you from Canada or some thing? Don't go spending it all at once, although I'm sure it is tempting. $10,000 will run out in a second.

what would be really smart would be to do the compound interest thing so you are actually rich by the time you are 30.

Rich is such a liquid term. No doubt 10 grand is allot of money to most people to others its nothing special. Rich can also mean just more than monetary values. I consider myself rich with a loving family and a close set of friends.

Depends on your definition of "rich"

You are rich in the sense that you have much more money than you did previously, however, you are not rich enough to maintain that status. Depending on the amount of money and the way it is saved and spent, a person is not "rich" unless they NEVER have to worry about bills or paying for something that they need or desire for the rest of their natural life.

“Rich” is a comparative term. Compared to most people in, say the Sudan or Ethiopia, or Afghanistan, you are a millionaire! Compared to Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson, you are dirt poor. I hope you use it wisely and don’t waste it on amusements and sweets. Good luck in school. Don’t let people trick you out of your money with investment scams and things like that.

Depends on how old you are and how you are going to spend it. If your an adult... that money will maybe last you three months. If your a teen or kid that should last you up through middle school and high school and some through college. If you don't spend it on junk. Actually, i would probably only spend five hundred of it for fun and stuff save the rest for college
